Midevco deals exclusively with Retail Commercial properties in Ontario and provides a full complement of Property Management, Brokerage Leasing services to Landlords, and for Tenants, we research and devise local and/or provincial Leasing strategy for expanding retailers. Our Tenant mandate services are especially effective when dealing with retailers who are expanding into new markets. Founded in 1980 originally as MIdland DEVelopment COrporation (the Midevco Group “Midevco”), was formed, in Burlington, Ontario. “Midland’s” first major assignment was to represent Fortino’s Supermarkets expansion in the Hamilton and Burlington areas. Since then, as Fortino’s has grown, so has Midevco.
Fortino’s Supermarkets sold in 1987 to Loblaws, Canada’s largest food distributor.
Our representation of Fortino’s in its local market has provided Midevco with the opportunity to represent other expanding retailers on an exclusive basis, and its growth continues.
One such notable, national company, is The Brick Furniture Warehouse. Midevco, over the past number of years, has represented The Brick in Hamilton, Windsor, Sarnia, London, St. Catherines, Bellville, Thunder Bay, Mississauga, Ottawa and continue to work alongside their Real Estate Department in other communities throughout Ontario.
